About that adventure ...
Wheels in motion!
A few months ago, I alluded to our big project. We’re renovating/restoring the home we’ve lived in for 23 years. We raised 8 kids there and getting out of the house was quite a feat. But we’ve mostly pulled that off, are slowing adjusting to our temporary home and watching progress on the renovation.
If you’ve never seen the structure of an old house, well, it’s fascinating. At present, we’re in a bit of a pause in the demolition phases. Letting the dust settle and tweaking design decisions based on discoveries. Good news is there wasn’t really any bad news. The house was built sometime around 1918. It is said we don’t make stuff like we used to and I suppose this is evidence of that. In some ways, we can’t - the materials available now are different. But we’re off to a good start. Sharing a few photos of “the bones” .. enjoy!
